It's a small world, after all

I'm on my Facebook in my ‘real-life’ identity.

I was somewhat surprised the other day when a friend ‘shared’ a political post with me. Its original author, unknown to my friend, was a catfight artist who was fairly well-known several years back.

I had to check his profile to be sure. No mentions of catfight art, or any art at all, really. But his profile pic was a self-portrait, and although the style had evolved, it was clearly the same guy.

What are the chances of that happening?

  1. In this modern life, I think the changes are surprisingly good. ;-)

  2. Have you told him in facebook who you suspect he is?

  3. I did not. My hunch is that even though he uses his real name, he prefers to keep his worlds separate. I thought about creating a separate Cameroon Wildebeest account, but then I decided I'd probably get crosswise with Facebook about it and maybe lose both my accounts.

  4. If that happened to me, i guess that my reaction would depend on who has found my secret identity. If *the* Wildbeest had found me for example, and decided to talk to me, i'd be thrilled. Just an opinion.
