Cavegirl Combat, week 3

For those of you wondering when I would get around to using that Lake Powell-inspired drawing I posted several weeks back, here it is.

Yes, I'm still setting up the story. Please be patient; this isn't a 1960's photocopy four-pager.

  1. I love the staredowns, and that's particularly great becuase of the cocky, sultry gesture of the girls.

I think the build up is smooth, I don't won't it to rush it at all.

Also, it's a pity the friends won't interfere. I would love to see the redhead take on the blonde with the black bikini. Maybe in your next story.

  2. Just because they aren't allowed to interfere, doesn't mean that there can't be side battles between the friends going on at the same time.

  3. Let's maintain the hope then :-P

  4. I've had this idea for doing a story where people can vote on how the next episode goes. The problem right now is turnaround time. As I've mentioned before, these pages take three to four days to complete. I'm working well ahead on this story.

If I were to do a poll-driven comic, I would want to do the poll on, for example, Monday and Tuesday, and the finished page up the following Monday. I don't think I could meet that deadline with this style.

  5. Anyone else notice the teaser? :P

The setup is nice, don't worry about the pacing.

  6. Really Looking forward to next weeks piece, particularly after the teaser, "I Get To Go After Your Tits". Always my favourite move in a catfight.

  7. I don't care how long it takes. I'm gonna enjoy this like no other.
As a writer, I prefer to take my story where I want it as opposed to a poll, but I think I've written like one story where I didn't have a clear idea who my heroine was from the get go. I kept the winner of that story around for about 300 pages more in the next 5 stories though.

  8. The setup is great. I'm enjoying the building. The stare downs, all fabulous stuff!

You are doing a fantastic job, and I can't wait to see what you come up with for the these gorgeous cavegirls and their fight.

  9. I am very looking forward to this. Personally, I think I want to see the red head bite off more than she can chew... and may be get bitten in more ways that one by the blonde. ;-)
