Help me identify this

I've had this on my hard drive for about six years. I think it came from Tina Diane.

I would like to know what it's from. It looks almost mainstream, except for the nipslip.

If you know from whence this came, please leave a comment.

  1. That's a classic scene from Garth Ennis' screamingly funny and hilariously inappropriate graphic novel "The Pro". Drawn by Amanda Conner, whose artwork is often better than sex, it's the story of a prostitute granted superpowers via cosmic whim, and ends up joining a league of squeaky-clean superheroes. Amazon is your best bet, but your better comic shops ought to have a copy. Well worth the read.

  2. This blog just paid for itself. Not that it cost anything, but still...

RustedOne, thanks for the tip. I quit reading published comics years ago, so I've missed everything from about 1990 on. Amanda Conner is indeed a revelation. Wow. Just ordered 'The Pro' from amazon, along with her soon-to-be-released "Art of" book.

  3. 1990? Well you dodged the Dark Age of comics (AKA the 90s XXXXXXXXXXXXXTREEEEEEEME phase), but that period is now over, thank Kirby.

I'm a bit biased, but you should hunt down everything you can written by Gail Simone. From Deadpool to Birds of Prey to Secret Six (her own creation) to her run on Wonder Woman, she hits the full range of the emotive spectrum and maintains a great sense of humor throughout.

And yeah, Ms. Conner's artwork of Power Girl in JSA Classified is partly what reeled me into hero comics. Recently met her at a comics convention in Calgary, she's wonderful in person, too.
