I guess LoSarro is better known for his muscle/giantess art and his gay male work. But his catfight drawings are superb, at least in my estimation.
His women are soft, sexy and beautiful, but they fight like they mean it.
He did about 25 pieces like this. I don't know the dates, but judging from costumes, hairstyles and occasional props, I would guess these were done in the late sixties and early seventies. The line work is always very clean and spare. Skin tones are rendered lightly, with breasts and butts usually left white.
I don't know where these are available online these days, or if they're online at all.
LoSarro work is all over the internet. I've always loved his lack of backgrounds we are forced to focus on the fighters. he drew the cutest redheads.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's very apparent now that LoSarro influenced your CF style... always gorgeous gals, always having a rough fight, the pastels, the radiant skin. I love this blog, please keep at it.
ReplyDeleteWasnt there a load of books with his catfight art on the covers as well?
ReplyDeleteYes--and unfortunately they never contained anything remotely related to the cover image inside the books!
